*Synopsis:
Welcome to the long-distance, romantic relationship between Jeff from USA, and Tomoko from Japan. This feature-documentary integrates many years of home video footage from the couple’s adventures through Japan, Australia, and USA. Experience an epic journey of love and identity!

“I like this epic love song, Long Distance Runners. It reminds me of Alain Resnais’ Hiroshima Mon Amour, Ross McElwee’s Sherman’s March and Chris Marker’s San Soleil rolled into one. The film chronicles the roller coaster of emotions that define young love: passion, intensity, and breathlessness. Jeff and Tomoko are like two young lovers on the run, and take us on a whirlwind tour of several continents.” –Michel Negroponte (documentary filmmaker: Jupiter’s Wife, I’m Dangerous with Love).
