
Jeff M. Giordano is a Williamstown, New Jersey native. He was a poet and experimental musician before becoming an award-winning filmmaker.
Jeff graduated from the University of North Carolina: School of the Arts – Film School, with a focus on film directing. Before attending film school, Jeff studied psychology for two years at Ursinus College.
He has been making films since 2001, and been involved with over 60 film productions. Outside of student films, he has directed 8 independent productions of his own. Most notable, Jeff’s thesis film The Sheriff (2007) won 5 awards at film festivals and screened at over 12 film venues. Through film festivals, museums, and public television Jeff’s directed films have screened worldwide.
In addition, during the 2007 Telluride Film Festival Jeff was part of the exclusive Production Apprentice Program. He returned to the Telluride Film Festival in 2008 to volunteer.
Jeff M. Giordano’s creative output doesn’t stop with filmmaking. When he’s not making films Jeff paints, takes photographs, composes music, and writes poetry. In the near future his films, paintings, and music will be available for purchase through this website.
Giordano is also heavily involved with volunteer activities in southern New Jersey. In January 2011, he founded a Free Film Series program at the public library in Williamstown, NJ. Jeff created the Film Series as an alternative cinema outlet in southern New Jersey and as a way to give back to his hometown community through the art of film. All screenings are free to the public, for anyone at least 18-years old. The series is an ongoing eclectic mix of independent and non-mainstream productions.

Since June 2010, Giordano has volunteered for Philabundance Food Bank, which is the Philadelphia/southern NJ region’s largest hunger relief organization, offering families free fresh produce and nutritious food every week. In 2011, Philabundance distributed 20 million pounds of food to people in need.
Since 2008, Jeff M. Giordano has been a member of the Monroe Township Historical Society in Williamstown, NJ.
Outside of southern NJ…Jeff volunteered for the Telluride Film Festival (Telluride, Colorado) in 2008.
He volunteered as an English teacher in Saitama, Japan in 2006.
Giordano volunteered as a jury member for the RiverRun International Film Festival also in 2006.
In 2001, Jeff volunteered at Norristown State Hospital in Norristown, Pennsylvania; a facility for those with mental illnesses.
From 2000 through 2010, he was a member of the Sons of Italy of America non-profit, charitable group. OSIA is the largest and oldest national organization for men and women of Italian heritage in the USA. Since 1905, the organization has given nearly $117 million to scholarships, educational programs, medical research, and disaster relief.
Starting at an early age, Jeff M. Giordano volunteered at his local carnival by sitting in the dunk tank, face painting, and making pizzas.
