A poet before an award-winning filmmaker, Jeff M. Giordano has poetry published in Poetry Harbor and The Brick & Mortar Review. He was also a finalist in the 2005 Main-Traveled Roads Poetry Manuscript Contest.

Jeff attended high school at St. Augustine College Prep in New Jersey. During his senior year, he placed 3rd in the Mr. Prep talent competition. Jeff is a member of the National Honors Society.

Upon graduation (2001), Jeff entered Ursinus College in Pennsylvania, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Communications. He lived in the International House (“Musser”), where Jeff was introduced to people and cultures of the world.

Although he only stayed at Ursinus College for two years, Jeff was rugby videographer, actor in the play Psycho Beach Party, danced with the Escape Velocity Dance Troupe, volunteer at Norristown State Mental Hospital, member of the Thursday Night Social Club, the music duo "Scotch & Water," and UC Radio Show.

Jeff’s professional filmmaking career was born through a two-day stint, when he snuck into Ursinus’ video editing room, a VHS reel-to-reel system, and stayed awake for 48 hours, editing experimental videos for his band “Period.” and completing a tribute video for his best friend.

The following September, Jeff transferred to film school at North Carolina School of the Arts: School of Filmmaking, to complete their four-year intensive program, where he majored in Directing (Class of 2007). This is the same school that critically acclaimed filmmaker, David Gordon Green attended.

Since 2000, he has been involved with various experimental music projects.

In total, Jeff has been involved in over 80 film productions.

His first, directed professional film, Among Garbage & Flowers, has screened at thirteen film festivals worldwide, including the Hot Springs, Arkansas Documentary Film Festival, The Beirut (“DocuDays”) International Documentary Festival in Lebanon, Golden Lion Film Festival in South Africa (Swaziland, Africa’s first film festival), and CamboFest, Cambodia’s first film festival.

Night in Space, a student film in which Jeff was lead actor, screened at the 2007 RiverRun International Film Festival.

In July 2007, Last Supper, a short student film that Jeff wrote/directed, screened at the National Black Theatre and Film Festival in North Carolina.

As of February 2010, his thesis film (The Sheriff) from North Carolina School of the Arts has won five awards and Jeff completed his first, full-length film.
