Screened at 14 FILM FESTIVALS, including the 1st Annual Myrtle Beach International Film Festival, Ole Muddy International Film Festival, New York City Picture Start Film Festival (formerly known as NYC Home Film Festival) , Westcliffe Digital Film Festival, Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, Cape May New Jersey State Film Festival, United States Super 8 Film and Digital Video Festival (where it was a finalist), and the Open Apperture Film Festival. The film had both its International and African Premiere, at the 1st Annual Golden Lion Film Festival in Swaziland, Africa.
The film had its Middle East Premiere at the Docudays: Beirut International Documentary Film Festival in Hamra-Beirut, Lebanon.
The European Premiere of Among Garbage & Flowers was at the 20th Annual Entre Vues Belfort International Film Festival in Belfort, France.
The film was awarded a bronze diploma at The Festival Der Nationen in Ebensee, Austria.
Among Garbage & Flowers had its Asian Premiere in June 2007, at the first film festival in Cambodia -- CamboFest.
Most recently...on December 1, 2007, the film screened for the "Siem Reap Edition" of CamboFest, their second film festival.

Synopsis:
Inspired both by working as a trashman myself, and from Michelangelo Antonioni’s 1948 short documentary (Netezza Urbana) about street cleaners in Rome, Italy.
Among Garbage & Flowers is a short documentary, and a song of two humans, exploring the Trashman Psyche in New Jersey.
“It’s a dirty job. These are the men that do it!”

Director's Statement:
Among Garbage & Flowers is a very personal film. It was shot in my hometown of Williamstown, New Jersey with my fellow men of sanitation.
These men are more than trashmen. They are my close friends.
It was shot over a five-day period with two trashmen. The place could be anywhere.
It is a tribute to all men of sanitation around the world, especially in Asia.
Everything will one day, be either burned or buried, including us human beings.
